Meet our Director of Photography.
Jacob Pinger is a Los Angeles born, Local 600 cinematographer with over twenty years of experience. From film to television, scripted and un-scripted, Jacob has developed his skills in a wide variety of venues.
His work has taken him around the world, from tracking orangutans in the jungles of Indonesia to interviewing Dogon elders in the deserts of Mali, and most recently to the sound stages of Hollywood.
After receiving a bachelors at the University of California at Santa Cruz, Jacob went on to attend the American Film Institute for cinematography. In 2010 he was honored as a recipient of the Emerging Cinematographers Award from IATSE, Local 600 for his work on the independent short film The Cycle.
In the years following AFI Jacob worked his way up the ladder, starting as a camera assistant, lighting technician and camera operator. He has worked on such well-known shows as Parks and Recreation, The Office and Brooklyn 99. Most recently he has spent three seasons on the CBS hit comedy, Life In Pieces.
